Passionate leader and avid scientist. Established with thirty three years of leading global organizations in Unilever, Johnson and Johnson, Ashland and last as the CTO and member of the Executive committee at Beiersdorf, the first female to hold this position in over 130 years of the company’s history.

Dr. Shana’a also served as a Member of the Board of Trustees of The Max Planck Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports top research in the Max Planck Society.

Dr. Shana’a has a BSc in Chemistry, MSc in Analytical Science and PhD in Chemistry. She is experienced in scientific discovery, product technology and successful product introductions across a multitude of brands, categories and regions.

Dr. Shana’a is a driver of open innovation and sustainability. Having lived across three continents, eight countries and double digit cities Dr. Shana’a is passionate about diverse cultures, human rights and women’s education.

Dr. Shana’a is currently serving as the President of Asherah Foundation, an NGO that is dedicated to give a second chance scholarships for women around the world.
